•The Student Years

Ben Graf Henneke began his relationship with the University of Tulsa as a freshman in 1931. A recent graduate of Central High School, he was eighteen at the time he entered TU.  As an undergraduate, his achievements were many, including writing the Hurricane Fight Song, working in the university publicity office, writing for the Collegian, working at and founded the radio station K.W.G.S. and the TU chapter of Phi Beta Kappa, acted, directed, and of course, attended classes.

After what can be called a decorated and extremely well-rounded undergraduate career, Ben graduated from the University of Tulsa  in 1935 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English.

After earning his B.A. from TU, Ben went on to earn a Master of Arts degree in Theatre from the University of Iowa and a Doctorate in Speech from the University of Illinois.
