NOTES:
Authors:
- Reverse the author's name (i.e., last name, comma, first name). Otherwise,
give the name as it appears in the source. Do not abbreviate a name
unless that is how it appears on the source.
- Cite all authors if there are three or less. Reverse only the name
of the first author listed. Give the names of subsequent authors in normal
order. If there are four or more authors
then you may either list only the first followed by "et al.", or else
give all the names in full. Give the names of authors in the order in which
they appear in the source.
Publication Date:
- Abbreviate months, except for May, June and July.
- If no date is available, write n.d. in place of the year.
Titles:
- Capitalize the first words, the last words and all principal words of all
book, article and journal titles.
- Separate a title from a subtitle with a colon and a space.
- The titles of books and journals should always be
underlined. Chapter and article titles should be enclosed in "quotation
marks".
Place of Publication:
- Abbreviate the names of U.S. states and territories using the official
two-letter U.S. Postal Service codes.
Retrieval Information:
- For documents retrieved from the Web, provide the URL (Internet address)
at the end of the retrieval statement enclosed in angled brackets.
- If the item derives from a database (such as those on services such as EBSCOhost, InfoTrac,
or FirstSearch) give the name of the database, the name of the service, the
library name, the date you accessed the article, and the URL of the article
(if available) or of the service (if an article URL is not available).
- Underline the title of the database but not the name of the service that
provides the database.
