Reference Services

The Reference librarians provide the students, faculty, and staff of the University of Tulsa with assistance in retrieving information relevant to their research needs. Librarians provide this assistance at the Reference or Information Desk, located on the Reference Level of McFarlin Library.

Reference services include: training in the use of the library catalog; instruction in using the library and its resources (both print and electronic); and answering questions that may be general in nature or may be related to a very specific and complex research problem.

Reference assistance is available in person at the Reference Desk, by telephone at 918-631-2880, or by e-mail using the Ask a Librarian! service.
