Macquarie Dictionary

Description:

 "Since it was first published in 1981, The Macquarie Dictionary has become firmly established as the record of Australian English. This third edition, first published in 1997, made use of Macquarie’s corpus of Australian English (Ozcorp), with thousands of illustrative sentences being included from works of Australian literature. It points to the natural and inevitable connection between Australian writing and Australian English. A significant amount of the illustrative material for definitions is from Australian texts."
