The Communication Institute for Online Scholarship (CIOS) is a not-for-profit organization which encourages the promotion and use of computer technology in communication education, research and scholarship. The Web site offers communication resources for students, researchers and professional organizations including event calendars, Web sites and current periodical issues with related subjects, and CIOS organizational information. It provides access to a variety of services, including use of a Journals Index to search indexes for 30 key communication serials; access to more than 4,500 electronic files of direct relevance to communication professionals and students; and use of "electronic white pages" to locate communication/mass media/journalism scholars by name, etc.
